Fasten Seat Belt

Whenever the ¡§FASTEN SEAT BELT¡¨ sign is activated, please return to your seat and fasten your seat belt securely. Upon takeoff and landing, please put away your tray table and return your seat back to the upright position. Besides, as turbulence often comes unexpectedly, we suggest all passengers fasten seat belts while being seated and review the safety instruction in the seat pocket.

Blankets are served to passengers on some of our flights for passengers' comfort. Please fasten your seat belt outside the blanket. This is to make your seat belt visible to cabin crew, who can make sure your seat belt is duly fastened.

After landing it takes time for aircraft taxi to parking bay. The time varies at different airports. Please remain seated until the ¡§FASTEN SEAT BELT¡¨ sign is turned off by captain
 
Carry-on Baggage

We have restrictions for carryon baggage. Over-sized or over-weighted carryon is not suitable to be brought into cabin. Our ground staff shall check the size and weight of your carryon. If your carryon is not suitable to be stowed in cabin, it should be checked in and loaded with check-in baggage.

Your carryon along with some loose items should be stowed in the compartment provided or under the seat in front of you for aircraft landing and takeoff.

When opening the overhead bins, please ensure the content does not fall out as it may have moved during the flight.
 
Cooperate with Crew

It is illegal to hamper crew's duty. Those who violate shall be charged, sentenced or fined. Please note that all emergency equipment must not be moved without crew's instruction.

 
No Smoking

Mandarin Airlines only operates non-smoking flights. Smoking in cabin is illegal and prohibited as it may endanger aircraft and passenger safety. Illegal smoker shall be reported and sent to police immediately after landing. All lavatories have been installed with smoke detectors. Smoking in the lavatory or tampering these detectors is an offense and can incur a fine of NT$ 10,000 to NT$ 50,000.

Smoking in airport terminal is against the law as well. Please refrain from smoking until you reach the legitimate smoking area.
 
Alcohol Consumption Onboard
Alcohol will not be served to passengers less than 18 years of age. Consumption of alcoholic beverage brought from outside aircraft or purchased onboard is against our company policy. Mandarin Airlines reserves the right to decline service of alcoholic drinks at the discretion of cabin crew.
 
The Handling Principles For In-flight Passenger Operates Personal Electronic Devices

As some electronic devices may interfere with the aircraft's navigation equipment, the use of the following items is prohibited throughout the flight: citizens band radios, cellular phones, PDA phones, remote-controlled toys and transmitting devices.

Prohibited during take-off and landing (under 10,000 feet):

personal audio and video devices (CD/MD/VCD/DVD/MP3/disc player/TV receiver), video, cameras, peripheral VCR and digital cameras, electronic entertainment devices, computer and peripheral devices (laptop/PDA/electronic dictionary/calculator) and radio receivers.
 
Passengers on domestic flights are forbidden to use any electronic devices.
Violation of these laws will result in imprisonment of up to five years or a fine of a maximum NT$150,000. The captain is authorized to suspend the use by a passenger of any electronic device he considers may interfere with the aircraft's navigation system or otherwise affect flight safety.

The in-flight passengers have to abide by CAA's regulations "that the operation of personal electronic devices, as cellular phones, C.B. radios, and all other transmitting devices is strictly prohibited."

According to CAA Aircraft Flight Operation Regulations, Article 102, personal electronic devices are prohibited to use in the period from the time of closing door to the time of opening door. Anyone who violates the regulation may be penal servitude under 5 years, detention or a fine below NTD150,000.

Airline is requested to announce repeatedly to all passengers when the flight is ready to fly that "It is against laws while operation of personal electronic devices, as cellular phones, C. B. radios, and all other transmitting devices in the cabin."

When any passenger violates the regulation, the flight attendant should immediately report to captain, and captain should inform the aviation police for further handling.
5.
If the aviation police in receipt of the violation report, they would proceed into the aircraft and bring the violated passenger to justice.
6.
The captain, as well as the flight attendant would cooperatively to submit a prosecution form; and to assist aviation police to carry out the police written record. If, there is the other in-flight passenger reports this violation, then such written record would be accomplished by the passenger's assistance.
