Baggage Checks in United States of America (USA) |
| |
Since 1 January 2003, new guidelines for checked baggage when travelling into and out of the USA have been implemented at all USA commercial airports. You will not have further access to your bags once the authorities have screened them. Please remove all necessary belongings you will need onboard the plane before you hand over your bags for screening. |
| |
|
| |
As advised by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), passengers are asked to leave their baggage UNLOCKED to facilitate the search process. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will not be liable for any damage caused to the locked bags if they are opened as part of the screening process.
In the event that TSA screeners open your bag during the screening procedure, they will close it with a tamper-evident seal and place a notice in your bag alerting you to the fact that TSA screeners opened your bag for inspection.
As this procedure is governed by U.S.A. legislation and beyond the control of the airline, we regret that we cannot be held liable for damage or loss of items from the baggage.
For further information on the requirement by the U.S.A. authorities and TSA claim information, please visit the Transportation Security Administration website. |
